Top 10 Week Sept 23

Another week and nothing changes.  Some people have Clemson up as high as number 3, but with Ohio St dismantling Florida A&M and Stanford putting a thumping on ASU early, I just cant do it.

1)ALABAMA: Some people may see the score vs CSU and not be impressed. But, a Win is Win the W column. That is all you want at this point. You do not want a slip up, and they got past the Rams and didnt have a let down coming after the big win vs Texas AM.

2)OREGON: The Ducks had a bye.

3)OHIO STATE: The Buckeyes dismantled the Rattlers from Florida A&M. It wasn't pretty at all.

4)STANFORD: I thought this was going to be a close game. However, the Cardinals had a different thing in mind. As they hung a 42 spot on the board vs Arizona State.

5)CLEMSON: Had a scare at NC State. Carter Finley stadium tends to be a tricky place to play, as it got FSU last year. However Boyd and the Tigers were able to tip toe through this mine field and win.

6)FLORIDA STATE: Put 54 on the board and rolled easily past Bethune Cookman. Winston continues to shine at qb. The Clemson matchup is shaping up to be a great one.

7)GEORGIA: UGA struggles early vs North Texas, but steps up in the 2nd half and ends this one quick.  They have a showdown coming up with LSU this weekend, that will be very interesting...

8)LSU: Handles Auburn pretty easily, it really wasnt even close.  They have tremendous speed and weapons on O, with the likes of Hill and MAgee at the rb spot and  Beckham Jr and Landry at wr. This will be a special game Saturday in Athens.

9)SOUTH CAROLINA: The Cocks had a bye.....

10)LOUISVILLE: Hangs 72 on the board vs FIU!!!!! That is all you need to know.....

Week of Sept 16 Top 10

Nothing changes from last week. Here we go my latest top 10:

1)ALABAMA: I dont care what you think or say about the game, they right now are the best team in the nation. They have a few holes, but nobody wants to play them right now.

2)OREGON: They score and they score FAST!!!!! Man this offense is fun to watch. If 1 team can stay with and potentially beat Bama, this is the team. The Ducks are fast and can spread you out, which is what you have to do if you want to beat Bama.

3)OHIO STATE: Beat Cal with out Braxton Miller. The backup Guiton throws for 4 tds in the win. I would say he is a pretty good backup lol.... They get  Florida A&M next, which should be another easy win.

4)STANFORD: Struggled with Army early, but  gets the win.  They have an interesting matchup against Arizona State this week.

5)CLEMSON: Had a bye week last week. They get NC State on Thursday night, which is always a tricky place to play.

6)FLORIDA STATE: They roll the Wolfpack from Nevada, this wasnt really a game at all. WIlliams and Freeman 2 of a stable of backs go for over 100 yards. Game 1 it was the J. Winston show, game 2 it was the rb show, they look pretty balanced right now on O. This could be a scary team..... They get Bethune Cookman next

7)GEORGIA:  They had a bye week, and get North Texas this week, before the Tigers from LSU invade Athens.

8)LSU: Puts a thumping on Kent St. Cam Cameron has that O running on all cylinders right now. They have a tricky matchup this week with Auburn. Provided they get by that, they will set up a showdown in Athens with UGA.

9)SOUTH CAROLINA: The Score vs. Vandy is alot closer than what that game was. They came out and thumped hard early scoring 21 in the 1st quarter and was up 24-10 at the half. They got alittle sloppy in the 4q giving up 15 points, but SC had this game from the get go....

10)LOUISVILLE: Started shakey and slow against UK, but did a enough to win in the end. Bridgewater didnt have his best game, but gets the W.

Top 10 Week 2

Here is my top 10 after week 2 of the college season.

1)ALABAMA: they had a bye week as they head down to College Station and face Johnny Football and the Aggies. Remember last year, the Aggies beat them in T-Town, so Saban and the Tide have redemption on thier minds.

2)OREGON: The Ducks travel across the country to Virginia and put up 59 points moving the record to 2-0. In 2 weeks, they have scored 66 and 59 points, I don't think they miss Chip Kelly yet.

3)OHIO STATE: In 2 weeks the Buckeyes have hang 40+ on the board against less than superior opponents.  Nontheless, they are beating who is on thier schedule, and that is all you can ask them to do.

4)STANFORD: The Cardinals had a bye week week 1 and beat San Jose St week 2.  The Cardinals appear to be a tough nose team like they were last year, but only time will tell.

5)CLEMSON: After beating UGA at home week 1, they have no problem with South Carolina St in week 2.  They do have a tricky game this week, as they travel to NC State, which if you remember, they derailed FSU's hope of a National Championship game birth last year. So Tiger fans be aware of this.

6)FLORIDA STATE: Had a Bye week week 2. But they beat Pitt week 1 and J. Winston showed he belonged on the big stage in a big way!!!!!!

7)GEORGIA: After falling to Clemson week 1, they rebound and Aaron Murray gets his first win vs South Carolina. Is it right to have a 1 loss team this high this early? Its my blog I can put them whereever I deem right.

8)LSU: This team is just lurking right now. Nobody is really talking about this years Les Miles team, but they are loaded on O and with a new OC in Cam Cameron appear to be firing on all cylanders right now. It will be interesting to see them come to Athens in a few short weeks....

9):SOUTH CAROLINA: Loses a tough one between the Hedges. They had the offensive production from Davis on the ground and Jones receiving, they just couldn't stop Murray and Gurley!!!

10)LOUISVILLE: 2 words Teddy Bridgewater. He has had back to back BIG games and has the Cardinals O firing on all cylinders right now.

Preseason Top 10

Usually by now, I have done a ton of homework and could tell you teams inside and outs about the top 10. This year is a little bit different, I have done some homework, but I have caught myself in the gym alot lately. But, here is my top 10 and it will surprise some people. I will have some teams in there that you don't expect and at least 1 team that I think is entirely overrated and will not be in there. I like my top 5 but 6-10 I am typing this up and thinking am I really doing this, WOW!!! SO much will be answered after week 1.

1)ALABAMA: As long as Nick Saban is in T Town, they will always be a top 5 preseason team.  They lost alot last year, but bring in true freshman Yeldon and Cooper that were headbusters. I expect more of the same. The O line will be a question at first, with only 2 returning starters, but they will just reload that thing and every other spot that needs it with 4 and 5 stars. ROLL TIDE!!!!!!

2)OREGON: Chip Kelly may be gone to the NFL, but you bring back Mariota and Thomas on Offense, and this thing isn't going to miss a beat. They will put up alot of points and be in every game.

3)GEORGIA: This may surprise some people especially with all the defensive players they lose. But let's not forget they were 1 play 5 yards away from going to the NC game and beating ND. They have 9 starters back on O including Murray, which was a 1st team All SEC member. Gurley and Marshall are back as tailbacks and from what I am heaaring both are bigger than last year. I think this team could be special again and WILL win the East easily. I see 10-2 at worst for them.

4)OHIO STATE: This is as low as you will see these guys. Meyer has his thing going in Columbus and has Miller back.  They could play for a NC and thier soft schedule sets up for it. But I dont see them as very good right now, especially with some issues they have had in the off season with big time playmakers both at RB and CB.

5)STANFORD:  2 years after Harbaugh and Luck leave for the NFL, they are still a force to be reackon with. They play good D and just grind you down running the ball on O.  They will challenge Oregon for the Pac 12 Championship again this year.

6)SOUTH CAROLINA: 1 thing hear to say CLOWNEY. He is a MONSTER and will have to play like 1 all season to keep SC up this high. The tandom of Shaw and Thompson will have to be huge at the QB position.

7)CLEMSON: They open with UGA, so we will learn alot about this team right off the bat. They lose alot with Ellington and Hopkins bieng gone, but they return Boyd and Watkins.  Like I said, we will learn about this right out of the gates.

8)FLORIDA STATE: JEMEIS WINSTON is all I have heard about this off season from

9)LSU: The mad hatter is loving this right now. Noone is counting LSU in, its all Bama, Texas AM, UGA, South Carolina. This is when he seems to do his best magic tricks. They lose a ton on Defense, but just like Bama, they will replace those guys with 4 and 5 stars that have been sitting on the bench. This is the scariest team in my top 10, because of the unknown.

10)LOUISVILLE: Teddy Bridgewater burst onto the scene last year vs Florida in the Bowl game. He will have to be HUGE if the Cardinals are going to havet o have a shot.

Top 10 for 11/12

I didnt do a top 10 last week, to be honest i was flat tired I went to APp St GSU game on Saturday and then Dallas Atlanta Sunday night, so games back to back days. I dont like my top 10 at all, the SEC is just a monster Conference and 4-10 is just a crap shoot at this point.

So here you go:

1)OREGON: They were played tough in the first half. They come out in the 2nd half and blow the doors off of California. WOW!!!!!

2)KANSAS STATE: Klien is a MONSTER!!!!!

3)ALABAMA: Although they come out flat in the first quarter and give up 21 early points, I still think they are a top 3 team and they had a chance to win the game.

4)LSU: I dont know if they belong here with 2 losses, but they have a win vs. AM. I know they are better than Notre Dame, so I cant justify having them below ND. They lose a close game 2 weeks ago vs Bama, so they stay here.

5)TEXAS A&M: Johnny Football is the real deal, the come out and put a quick 21 on Bama in T Town and then hang on for dear life.

6)NOTRE DAME: I know they are #3 in the BCS, but after struggling 2weeks ago to a not very good Pittsburgh team and then barely getting by

7)FLORIDA STATE: These guys get past a very pesky VT at home on Thursday night, which is saying something. Wierd things tend to happen in Blacksburg on a Thursday night.

8)GEORGIA: Wins the East with a thumping of a not very good Auburn team. I have seen the 2 headed freshman running backs on tv, actually saw them in person, and they are good, I mean really good.

9)FLORIDA: Barely squeeks by ULL at home, but a W is a W last time I checked.

10)OHIO STATE: Although the are not bowl elgiable, they are still pretty good.
